Biography

Graduated in Psychology from the School of Philosophy, Sciences and Letters of Ribeirão Preto (1973), Master’s in Clinical Psychology from the University of São Paulo (1981), and PhD in Clinical Psychology from the University of São Paulo (1985).

Professor at the School of Medicine of Ribeirão Preto – University of São Paulo (FMRP-USP).

Professional experience in the areas of Clinical and Hospital Psychology. Coordinates the Psychology Service at the Hospital das Clínicas of FMRP-USP.

Advisor for the Graduate Programs in Psychology at FFCLRP-USP and Mental Health at FMRP-USP.

Develops research on the following topics: mental health, social anxiety, psychological assessment, children, and behavior.

Areas of Interest

Study of physiological, behavioral, and cognitive changes in response to psychedelic substances. Chronic and acute stress. Anxiety. Antidepressant action induced by psychedelic substances. Lifestyle and mental health.
